MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell said on his show Wednesday night that the New York Police Department would probably do nothing to a senior officer who pepper-sprayed young women at the “Occupy Wall Street” protests.
Update: The officer has now been identified in two unprovoked pepper-spray attacks.

Occupy Wall St. March on Police Plaza
30 September 2011 evening time
(Don’t just <3 it, RE-blog it„, please?)
March on police plaza, NY police headquarters after the brutal pepper spraying and abuse that happened last Saturday by a number of officers.
Activists have identified the senior New York Police Department officer who allegedly pepper-sprayed young women at the “Occupy Wall Street” protests, and it’s not the first time he has been accused of civil rights abuses.
The Guardian confirmed that the officer is Anthony Bologna, who was also accused of civil rights abuses and false arrest during the 2004 Republican National Convention in New York City.
Chelsea Elliott, one of the pepper-sprayed activists, described her ordeal to Animal New York.
“I will march again,” she said. “But I’ll wear sunglasses and a fucking bandana.”

Maria “Maki” Haberfeld, Chair of John Jay College’s Department of Law, Police Science and Criminal Justice Administration, was just interviewed on NPR’s All Things Considered where she expressed her belief that the use of pepper spray by NYPD’s Anthony Bologna was justified.
